Research Engineer – Department for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise (Advanced Materials Technology Centre)
Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC) is one of the Research & Development (R&D) centres under the Department for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise (TIE). Integrating advanced materials, industrial chemistry and nanotechnology R&D activities, AMTC plays an integral role in promoting multi-disciplinary & cross-functional projects between Singapore Polytechnic and its business and industry partners
Formulate new green formulations for precious metals recycling and improve existing formulations to achieve industry requirements for commercialization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry partners to test the efficiency of leaching and recovery of precious metals
Engaged actively with industry partners on industry consultancy projects and ensure project deliverables are met
Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning for Continuing Education and Training (CET) students
Keep abreast of current and future developments and trends on construction/specialty chemicals industry and make recommendations on areas of improvements
Preferably 2 – 4 years of relevant working experience
Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team
Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring students
People oriented individual with good interpersonal, written and communication skills
Relevant qualifications in Chemistry, Materials Science, Construction Chemicals or its related fields
