Main interest in the application of chiral plasmonic nano/meta-materials to achieve enhanced chiroptical effects with potential benefits for the pharmaceutical industry. My research is based on the use of ultrafast lasers for exploring nonlinear optical effects (second harmonic generation), for molding materials at the nanoscale (nanojets) and for investigating energy transfer through laser-heating in liquids (steampunk science).
