The core business of the NEEL Institute is fundamental research in condensed matter physics, which also makes it possible to forge interdisciplinary links with chemistry, engineering and life sciences. The research and technological support activity is organized at the NEEL Institute in seventeen research teams themselves attached to the three scientific departments , and eighteen technological poles attached to the departments or directly to the Institute.
