It is a solvent-based protective surface coating for metals, polymers, and ceramics, with anti-adhesive properties. It does not contain fluorinated compounds. It is suitable for food contact only after complete cross-linking. TM80 creates a transparent, compact surface coating that resists to abrasion, high temperatures (up to 250°C), atmospheric agents, and UV rays. It has a surface hardness of 6H (measured using a pencil test) and reduces the adhesion of dirt and bacteria. In technical terms, this creates a low surface energy coating, making the material easy to clean, even from food processing residues in industrial machinery for the food industry. It protects surfaces from fingerprints, limescale, oil, or grease. It is resistant to corrosion and oxidation. In these conditions the product can be stored for 12 months. Usage tips TM80 is a ready-to-use product (do not dilute with solvents or other liquids). The substrate to be coated must be clean, free of oily and/or greasy substances, free of residual surfactants, and dry. To remove any residue from previous cleaning steps, use Heptane solvent. If moisture is present on the surface, TM80 reacts negatively, not forming a compact, well-adhered layer. The substrate temperature must be between 5°C and <30°C. The relative humidity must be between 30% and 80%. Depending on the size and shape of the substrate, the product can be applied by hand, with a microfiber roller, or with an airbrush. Airbrush application: - Use an HVLP system - Working pressure: 2-4 bar - Nozzle: 0.7-1 mm The airbrush must be thoroughly clean, free of solid residues and water. Clean with butyl acetate after use and before application. DO NOT apply the product in windy, sunny, or rainy conditions. TM80 has a coverage of 70-80 m²/L on non-porous materials and 40-50 m²/L on porous materials. The product must be applied only by trained personnel equipped with the appropriate PPE, as indicated in the safety data sheet. Do not clean the coated surface with substances containing Acetic Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide in concentrations >= 5% in water.

Usage tips OPTIMAL APPLICATION CONDITIONS: temperatures between 5° and 30° with relative humidity (RH) not exceeding 80 % APPLICATION: 1. release (higher thickness for high mechanical resistance): apply the product by hand using a microfiber cloth or short-bristled fleece (pay attention to the formation of any scratches or halos), or by spray with a HVLP or AIRLESS system, with a gun with 0.5-0.8 mm nozzle and pressure 1-1.5 bars. In this way, thicknesses of up to 5 microns can be obtained; - stretched (less thickness, to seal the porosity on the surfaces): apply the product by hand using a microfiber cloth, let the solvent evaporate for 1-2 minutes and then wipe the surface with a dry and soft microfiber cloth, with circular movements often changing the drying side and the cloth itself; In the case of surfaces that can be walked on (ceramic or stoneware), use a polishing machine fitted with a white nylon disc for natural surfaces or a more absorbent fiber disc for polished, smooth or lapped surfaces: - proceed by treating small surface areas to prevent inhomogeneities caused by excessive evaporation of the solvent. In this way a shiny surface is obtained with coating thicknesses of less than 2 microns, capable of sealing porosity and therefore protecting against dirt, maintaining the same finish as the starting surface. ACTIVATION TIMES: at room temperature the product is dry to the touch after 120 minutes; if heated in a painting oven at 80°C after 60 minutes. The product reaches complete cross-linking and guarantee optimal surface properties, after 5-7 days at room temperature. MANUAL APPLICATION: - make sure the surface is completely clean and dry. - in the case of pre-polishing or cleaning with surfactants products, wash the surface very well with water and finally with isopropyl alcohol, to eliminate any surface residues, prior to apply PROTECTIVE BW; - apply a few drops of PROTECTIVE-BW on a microsuede cloth (replace the cloth several times during application, to prevent it from stiffening and scratching the surface); - treat the surface by making small areas at a time (no more than 50x50cm), crossing with vertical and horizontal movements, paying attention to uniformly coat the entire affected area (use a special stiff pad to better apply the product on the surface of interest); - leave for 2 minutes; - polish the treated area with a microfiber cloth (at least 1000g/m2) making circular movements, making sure that the surface of the cloth is always soft (turn and replace the cloth several times during application) or polish with an orbital polisher for bodywork, often changing the disc; - go on to treat a new near surface area, making a small overlap (a few millimeters) with the previously treated area (if available, use special LED lamps to ensure good illumination of the surface and therefore uniformity of treatment) ATTENTION: before applying the product, do a test in an small and not visible area, to verify application methods and results Protective-BW contains solvent: Xylene. STIKILOS® is a highly durable, anti-adhesive and protective nanotechnological surface coating for steel, coated steel (excluding chromed surfaces) and aluminum molds for thermoplastics materials. STIKILOS makes easier the detachment of the plastic material during the production cycle, thanks to a repellent, not sticking effect against the polymer. STIKILOS cause a better and faster mold filling, increasing production performance: increasing number of molded pieces/hour and/or average injection pressure, reducing the number of rejected or not complying pieces. STIKILOS does not modify the geometric tolerances and the surface finish of the mold (even for mirror polished surfaces) and does not leave residues on the surface of the molded material, so making possible to immediately coat the parts (with painting, metallization, etc.) without the need for intermediate cleaning and washing procedures. STIKILOS complies with European legislation, n. 10/2011 for food contact and it does not contain toxic substances for operators. OPTIMAL APPLICATION CONDITIONS: - DO NOT use STIKILOS in the presence of other release agents, protective agents and lubricants on the mold surface; - make sure that the mold is degreased and well cleaned, using solvents to remove any polymer residues; - DO NOT touch the surface treated with STIKILOS with hands without gloves. - Do not apply other types of protective or lubricants. APPLICATION: For better product effectiveness, it is recommended to treat the surface of the mold with STIKILOS at the beginning of the production cycle. - Shake the spray can before use; - Spray uniformly the product over the entire surface of the mold without leaving untreated areas. - A single surface coat is enough for anti-sticking properties; any excess product is removed during the initial phase of molding (at the beginning, 3-5 molded pieces may have whitish treatment residues on the surface and could be discarded). The effectiveness of the treatment remains even over several production cycles. It is necessary to renew the treatment on the mold every maintenance operations time, in the case of contamination of the treated surface. ACTIVATION TIMES: Once STIKILOS has been applied on the surface of the mold, it must be allowed to dry and react, in order to ensure good adhesion to the metal. Drying and activation takes place at room temperature in 8-9 hours, or in 1 hour heating the mold between 70°C and 100°C. After this activation time, it is possible to start injection molding process. YIELD: STIKILOS® has a yield of about 3m2 per spray can. STIKILOS® is a flammable product.
