Bis-C60-C6-PA, also known as bisFAPA, is used as an electron transport layer in Perovskite solar cells. BisFAPA improves energy level alignment between Perovskite materials and conductive metal oxide materials used as the cathode in the Solar Cell.* In addition, bisFAPA is also understood to reduce interface recombination and suppress ion migration at the interface of the ETL and Perovskite layers. In some device stacks, bisFAPA can provide a performance increase over monoFAPA due to improved interaction with metal oxide ETLs. C60PCBM ([6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester) is a fullerene derivative and the most widely used electron transport layer (ETL) in inverted (p-i-n) perovskite solar cells and perovskite-silicon tandem devices and widely used as an electron acceptor material in organic solar cells. C60PCBM consists of a C60 fullerene (buckyball) functionalized with a phenyl-butyric acid methyl ester side chain, which improves its solubility in organic solvents and compatibility with polymer donors. C60PCBM is the primary electron transport layer in inverted perovskite solar cells, achieving 20%+ efficiencies and enabling low-temperature solution processing for perovskite-silicon tandem devices. C60PCBM is the benchmark acceptor for organic photovoltaics, enabling high-efficiency bulk heterojunction solar cells through optimal electron mobility and charge separation with donor polymers. Physical & Chemical Properties Chemical Name: [6,6]-Phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (C60PCBM) Chemical Formula: C72H14O2 CAS: 99685-96-8 Purity (HPLC): 99.5% Appearance & Color: Black to light-brown powder Molecular Weight (g/mol): 910.88 Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents: toluene, o-dichlorobenzene, o-xylene, mesitylene Electronic Properties Orbital Energy: HOMO -6.0 eV, LUMO -4.3 eV Application: Electron acceptors, n-type semiconductors, interface layers Download Datasheet Download MSDS from $250.00 Limit 5 per order

C70PCBM is a fullerene derivative widely used as an electron acceptor material in organic photovoltaics and organic electronics. It consists of a C70 fullerene cage functionalized with a phenyl-butyric acid methyl ester side chain, which enhances solubility in common organic solvents and enables solution processing. C70PCBM offers superior visible light absorption compared to C60PCBM due to the lower symmetry of the C70 cage. This enhanced absorption in the 400-600 nm range can improve power conversion efficiency in organic solar cells, particularly when paired with polymer donors that have limited absorption in this region.
