OLI Studio: ScaleChem Training Course

By OLI Systems, Inc.

Enhance your understanding of upstream electrolyte simulation On-demand online training coming soon The OLI Studio: ScaleChem modeling course is designed to train attendees on how to use OLI software for upstream electrolyte simulations. Participants will learn how to set up scaling problems, will learn how to formulate and build their own applications and to interpret the data presented in reports and plots. Register your interest in online training OLI SYSTEMS ONLINE TRAINING What to expect from the training course This workshop will teach upstream electrolyte chemistry concepts and electrolyte simulation techniques using a training manual that starts by modeling a single well. The chapters get progressively more advanced as participants learn more features about the software. Who should attend The course is designed for beginers and prospective OLI clients The class has been developed for participants with little or no knowledge of OLI simulation techniques. Intermediate level clients wanting to refresh their skills may also join this class; there are extra problems in each section that allow for independent inquiry. What is covered during the course Workshop syllabus During day one you will cover chapters 1 through 5. On day two the course includes chapters 6 to 20. Module 1 Fundamentals of Oilfield Scales – Brief Introduction - pH-dependent vs. pH-independent scales. - Self-scaling mechanisms vs. scale formation by mixing. - Saturation Ratio & Scaling Index – understanding scale prediction metrics. - Component Partitioning & Speciation – impact on fluid composition and scale risk. - Scale Kinetics – an introduction to the rate of scale formation in oilfield conditions. Module 2 ScaleChem Software Introduction - Overview of the ScaleChem User Interface - Navigating software tools and functionalities - Introduction to key input parameters and reconciliation options Module 3: Practical Applications & Case Studies Example 1: Oil Well with Seawater Injection - Input Brine Analysis: --- Entering a brine analysis and calculating scale tendency. --- Understanding the three reconciliation options and water equilibrium settings. - Input Oil Anal
