Teflon® PTFE non-stick coatings have a low coefficient of friction and temperature resistance up to 500°F. They also offer good abrasion and chemical resistance and can be applied to aluminum, carbon steel and stainless steel and address the low friction needs of engine components, compressors, pumps, and actuating devices. Coefficient of Friction: 0.08; Thickness (in.): 0.0006" - 0.0010"; Cure Temperature: 350°F - 715°F; Operating Temperature: 500°F. Is reduced friction needed with strong corrosion protection? MSC recommends Teflon® or Xylan®.
