SMS can fabricate functional films for optics, electronics, microfluidics, and other applications using plate-to-plate (P2P) nanoimprint lithography (NIL), P2P thermal embossing, and roll-to-roll (R2R) NIL. SMS can now perform R2R NIL in the same room where we seamlessly nanopattern molds! SMS has custom P2P NIL and thermal embossing setups as well as a Carpe Diem R2R NIL tool, pictured on the right. This R2R tool is housed in SMS’s cleanroom and can pattern films with up to a 6-inch web width using UV NIL. SMS has a variety of resins and polymer films available.
