Giles last position at Macquarie was Head of Broking for Asia and The Middle East. Giles is a Master of Finance (Strathclyde University), Certified Cyber Security Risk Consultant (IBITG, London), holds a diploma in Marketing and a degree in Hotel and Catering Management (Surrey University).

Jelena Trbovic PhD
Jelena Trbovic is an Application Scientist at Zurich Instruments, where she manages nanotechnology and magnetism applications and the MFLI Lock-in Amplifier. She received her PhD from Florida State University for research on semiconductor spintronics. As a postdoc at the University of Basel, she studied quantum transport in carbon nanotubes, quantum dots, graphene, and superconducting wires. Jelena enjoys interacting with researchers, discussing the fundamentals of lock-in detection and the importance of good measurement practice.

Fabien Bouhier is Digital Architect by day working on algorithms and technology, and a Quantum Physics enthusiast by night. After 10 years across Asia within the media industry, Fabien left his job at Google to become an social entrepreneur focused on building digital ecosystem. After receiving a Certificate of Completion in Quantum Mechanics and Computation from BerkeleyX,, Fabien won the “Try Zero G” contest. His experiment titled “Growing Bubble in a Glass of Water” has been performed in the International Space Station by JAXA’s astronaut, Koichi Wakata, in zero gravity conditions and was presented at TEDxKL in 2014.

Frederic specializes in the conception and implementation of integrated marketing strategies, brand awareness programs and global multichannel marketing campaigns that are based on market data, customer insights, competitive environment, and technology innovations. Rob is an experimental physicist with a passion for developing practical applications of quantum technologies. The last decade saw the beginning of another new generation of technology, one that is underpinned by the quantum nature of the devices. Rob’s contribution in this exciting new field was seeded by a Master’s degree in physics from Oxford University (2002), before moving to Cambridge to complete a PhD in experimental quantum information processing.

Thomas Wohlbier (*1974) was still a student at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) when he began to work, on a part time basis, for a strongly materials-oriented Swiss Publishing House.
