TMOS is an Australian research centre that develops miniaturised optical systems based on meta-optics to overcome challenges in light generation, manipulation and detection at the nanoscale. Its research includes compact light sources, tunable metadevices, and metasurface-integrated photodetectors, along with integrated optical sensors and quantum technology hardware such as quantum light sources and single photon detectors. It is funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council in partnership with several Australian universities.
