Vertical Semiconductor develops vertical GaN power transistors based on technology developed at MIT. Its devices target power converters for data centers moving to 800 VDC architecture and solid state power systems for grid infrastructure and onsite generation. The platform scales voltage from 40 V to 2.3 kV and is intended to reduce system footprint and total cost of ownership.
