A spark enabling renewable energy transition We’re a startup born in 2023, built to deliver nanotechnology-driven solutions for the real challenges of energy transition. Here’s the scenario: everyone’s after critical raw materials, most green technologies still depend on limited supply and stall at scaling up, while green alternatives lag behind in both progress and scalability. That’s why this sector needs a spark. And with our specialty electrodes—agnostic to chemistry, ready for any energy sector—we’re that spark making renewable integration efficient, scalable, and real. How the flow began. The story begins in 2023, when Fabio di Fonzo and Laura Giorgia Rizzi establish Flownano, building on decades of research at IIT. In 2025, Flownano becomes fully operational: the investment by CDP Tech4Planet and official accreditation as IIT spin-off mark the transition from research to industry. It’s flowtime.
