Activate any color on your surface!

NANOBRICK Launches 'E-Skin Anycolor' for Emotional Exterior Materials. This unique patent technology changes color tones and patterns depending on the user's sensitivity for the premium emotional exterior material market such as household appliances, electronic devices, and interior design. The "E-Skin Anycolor" can be easily customized by what kind of color choices that customers make, and be easily adjust color tones and patterns with just small power through wireless communication.

The "E-Skin Anycolor" is based on NANOBRICK Electrophoretic Display (EPD) Technology. NANOBRICK Electrophoretic Display (EPD) Technology includes charged nanoparticles with an identical signal that are dispersed uniformly in a low dielectric medium with different colors.

When an electric field is applied, the nanoparticles move either top or bottom of the fluid depending on the polarity of the electric field created by the external power source, which in turn, leads to color switching. Different from the well-known E-Ink Technology, NANOBRICK EPD is to control single-colored nanoparticles in a different color-dyed medium.

It benefits to show VARIOUS color expression very easily by just changing color-dyed medium that meets customers' specific tastes and to show natural, soft-tone changes depending on the external electric field.

The key strengths of NANOBRICK are uniform-sized nanoparticle mass production capability and surface treatment technology that enhances particle controllability and mono-dispersion abilities.

Finally encapsulation technology can bring the interactive color/tone expression depending on the external magnetic field. "Although the existing ePaper implements color with a complex combination of limited color particles, NANOBRICK can implement any specific color tone change film based on patented electrophoretic display technology," a NANOBRICK official said. "As unique colors and designs are in the spotlight as new differentiation points, color-customized electronic paper "E-Skin Anycolor" is expected to become a new trend in the functional film market. The color tone of the refrigerator may change according to the fermentation of the Kimchi, or the color tone of the wireless device may change according to battery consumption. "E-Skin Anycolor," which will be released in the form of a film, is also expected to attract attention in the interior market as it can change the tone of art walls, wallpaper, and furniture depending on the season or weather.

Meanwhile, according to the 2022 Allied Market Research, the global e-paper display market size was valued at $1.6 billion in 2020, and is projected to reach $9.5 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 17.3% from 2021 to 2030.
