AXO Primux 50 High Performance Microfocus Sources

By STOE & Cie GmbH

STOE offers Primux 50 in two variants: Primux 50 High Performance Microfocus Sources use ASTIX++ HCA optics with extremely low slope errors that provide a beam performance suitable for sophisticated crystallography. The new AXO Primux 50 microfocus source (Cu) with HCA High Performance optics is one of the brightest sources available in the market, showing a peak flux density of 5×10 10 photons/s/mm². The high performance AXO Mo and Ag microfocus sources systems also proved their performance progress with laboratory-confirmed double flux density compared to conventional microfocus sources. While the Primux 50 conventional microfocus sources remain an excellent and economic choice for most measurements, the new Primux 50 High Performance microfocus sources are a great opportunity for many demanding applications. It comes with its own water-cooling circuit. Contrary to air-cooled systems, heat dissemination in the sample environment can be fully avoided. The dedicated water-cooling unit is now fully integrated into the STOE STADIVARI cabinet, making it a secure and stable closed cycle solution. Primux 50 is mounted in a compact housing and available with Cu, Mo, or Ag anodes. The same housing and controller can be used for all different anode types. When it comes to replacement of tubes, the intelligent design of the Primux 50 sources makes it easy to exchange tubes. The new tube is already prealigned in its re-usable tube holder in which it is delivered, allowing the enduser to exchange the tube by himself. Only minor fine alignment is necessary after tube exchange.

TRANSMISSION SAMPLE HOLDER

Transmission sample holders are excellent for quick overview measurements as well as Rietveld quality data collections. Powdered substances of every origin can be measured including polymer fibers or foils. Even with minuscule sample amounts finest layers can be prepared on STOE’s zero scattering foils, making this technique preferable for transmission measurements of highly absorbing materials. CHARACTERISTICS - Easy and clean preparation of samples on zero scattering foils - Convenient loading of samples including exposure mask with variable sizes - Sample displacement due to variable sample thicknesses can be corrected by a micrometer screw - Sample rotation in a high precision ball-bearing to avoid reflex broadening and result in low noise AVAILABLE FOR: STADI P / MP / COMBI

Magnetic goniometer head

The goniometer head model designed by STOE is built on a standard IUCr type base and incorporates a magnetic shaft for the pin, which can be securely fastened using a screw. Furthermore, the crystal is centered by screw knobs and a knurled screw for height displacement i.e., completely tool free. CHARACTERISTICS - Magnetic crystal support - Tool free centering of crystal - Height between 67 and 110 mm - Height adjustment without re-alignment of the crystal AVAILABLE FOR: IPDS II / 2T / STADIVARI

STOE HT1

The STOE STADI P and STADI MP are the ideal equipment for the observation and evaluation of phase transitions in non-ambient environments. Therefore STOE has developed the capillary furnace series for powder investigations at high temperatures: - The basic version from RT to 1223 K (950 °C) - The extended T version from RT to 1773 K (1500 °C) - The furnace with low temperature option for a range from 223 K (–50 °C) to 1223 K (950 °C) - 130° exit window Every STOE furnace is delivered with a temperature controller containing power supply, flow meter for cooling water control and interface to the PC. All three versions provide sample spinning to avoid effects from preferred orientation and offer a temperature stability better than ± 1 K in the whole range. The temperature programs are easily set-up and executed and the STOE HT1 furnaces can be mounted on every horizontal or vertical transmission diffractometer. Heating elements are available for capillaries with diameters from 0.2 to 1.0 mm. AVAILABLE FOR: STADI P / MP

REFLECTOMETRY SAMPLE HOLDER

Applications Sample tilting and precession have a large impact on reflectometry data quality, thus, STOE’s tilt and precession free reflectometry sample holder has been specifically designed for accurate alignment for, e.g., experiments to determine film thickness, composition and interface roughness, standard powder diffractometry or grazing incidence experiments for phase analysis of thin films. - Reference blade for reproducible height adjustment - Micrometer-controlled sample alignment with digital sample position display - Manual tilt correction possible - Sample spinning for wide-angle X-ray diffraction AVAILABLE FOR: STADI P / MP
