By Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC)
CAbS develops immunoassays for the detection and quantification of target analytes (contaminants, pathogens, allergens, biomarkers, etc.) in biological, food, or environmental samples. The typical process includes: - Assay design: definition of the assay format (ELISA, microarray, etc.), sample matrix, desired sensitivity, and necessary reagents. - Optimization: adjustment of analytical parameters (limit of detection, dynamic range) and evaluation of matrix effects on assay performance. - Validation: evaluation of reagent stability and robustness; determination of intra- and inter-assay reproducibility, accuracy, and specificity; and performance of blind sample testing. The result is a validated immunoassay adapted to the client’s objectives.
