Our stranded and twisted wire can be composed of multiple conductors, varying in material, alloy, coating, or core design (including central-core stranding). We also offer specialized coating options, such as PTFE, to meet the most demanding environmental and electrical requirements. This broad range of capabilities allows us to deliver custom fine stranded wire solutions engineered for a wide range of applications, including heating elements, thermocouples, and medical instrumentation such as orthodontic components and diagnostic devices. Custom wire can be drawn from a wide range of alloys, such as copper, aluminum, or resistance wire, and can be coated with ceramic, polymer, or PTFE insulating enamels. Our stranded wires are typically produced in 2-strand, 7-strand, or 19-strand configurations using conductors ranging from 25 microns to 2.5 mm in diameter. Wire can be packaged on CFW-provided spools in various sizes depending on customer preference. Our team has been producing precision wire products for over 60 years and can advise customers regarding the ideal material, size, and configuration of wire for the given application. Stranded wire can be manufactured in any volume, from the small quantities needed for research and development to the high volumes needed for full scale OEM production applications. The lead time for a project will be evaluated based on the scope and parameters of the specific job. For customers with ongoing inventory needs, we offer kanban inventory systems that maintain optimal stock levels and support just-in-time delivery needs.
