Asphaltenes are molecular substances that are found in crude oil. They are complex mixtures containing hundreds or even thousands of individual chemical species. They cause many problems in crude oil production, transport and distillation. With further LUM instruments you may investigate asphaltene stability and asphaltene inhibitor efficacy, have direct access to inhibitor and solvent effects on the deposition mechanism of asphaltenes.
