Our group aims to deepen the understanding of novel nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) through chemical modifications, in order to evaluate their efficacy in antisense and RNA interference therapies. We are fully committed to the synthesis of conjugated oligonucleotides designed to optimize the delivery and targeting of nucleic acids. Furthermore, we investigate the structural properties of nucleic acids and their functional implications, while developing biosensor systems capable of detecting biologically relevant DNA and RNA molecules. Finally, we design nucleic acid molecules adapted for the assembly of nanomaterials, conceived as drug delivery systems intended for therapeutic applications.
