The Office of Excellence and Internationalization (EIO) of The Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC) was created to work closely with researchers, promote their work, and expand their capabilities. Its main objective is to strengthen scientific leadership and high-impact research in the chemical sciences, as well as to improve knowledge and technology transfer outcomes. The Office acts as a catalyst for excellence and innovation, identifying emerging opportunities and disruptive research lines and transforming them into strategic funding initiatives at both international and national levels. By fostering IQAC collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders and driving innovation, the EIO strengthens strategic alliances, enhances institutional visibility, and ensures that IQAC’s scientific contributions have a significant impact at institutional, academic, industrial, and social levels. Actions: - Identify and promote funding opportunities for IQAC researchers, while providing guidance in proposal preparation and submission. - Provide researchers with tailored tools to enhance funding success, foster disruptive alliances, and drive professional growth. - Enhance technology transfer and commercialization by identifying IQAC inventions and supporting the protection and development of industrial and intellectual property. - Foster innovation by promoting funding opportunities for advanced research, facilitating valorization studies of research results, and identifying scientific advances to address key challenges in chemical sciences and industry. - Strengthen interdisciplinary and industrial collaborations through strategic partnerships, translational research, and institutional initiatives. - Promote team cohesion and internal collaboration through extracurricular activities, networking events, and workshops to strengthen shared objectives within the IQAC community. - Drive global presence and talent attraction strategy of IQAC by promoting research excellence and developing training programs.
