A training to use our microscopes as an independent user is only recommended, if: - your curriculum requires this specific qualification - your project generates such a high number of samples, that the capacity of our service would be overstrained - after the training you will use the microscope at least once a month. The training at the microscope will take place one-on-one and includes three obligatory appointments: 1. general introduction at the microscope 2. preparation of your own samples and imaging them at the microscope 3. one further appointment at the microscope supervised by a specialist. The Nano Imaging Team will decide when the trainee is ready to work independently at the microscope and when she/he will be allowed to sign into the calendar by her/himself. Until then she/he will be supervised by a specialist at further appointments. The user needs to generate a fair amount of samples in order to use the microscope on a regular basis.If the microscope hasn’t been used for three months, the user will need to get a refresher by a specialist. The training is subject to charge.
