The Institute for Functional Materials and Devices (I-FMD) convenes Lehigh’s interdisciplinary expertise in materials and devices to incubate sustainable advanced technologies, developing innovative solutions that address global energy, environmental and health priorities. I-FMD facilities, including the Integrated Nanofabrication and Cleanroom Facility (INCF) and the Materials Characterization Facility (MCF), which are designed for both the internal and external user communities, offer a broad range of fabrication and characterization capabilities, supporting every stage of research—from fundamental studies to prototype development.
