UC Irvine

In 1965, the University of California, Irvine was founded with a mission to catalyze the community and enhance lives through bold education, transformative research and purpose-driven service. From the start, the unyielding spirit of our pioneering faculty shaped a campus defined by curiosity, ambition and the courage to challenge convention. Today, that same drive powers our students, researchers and leaders as they advance ideas that move the world forward. At UC Irvine, we do not just embrace visionary thinking – we bring it to life.
