The crystals are stabilized in a solution of ethanol or in a mixture of water and ammonium hydroxide. Crystal particle size range is from 20 to 550 nm.
Our standard HAP powder has an average diameter of 5 µm. The size distribution is narrow and follows a normal distribution. The individual micro-spheres are porous with an average pore size of 100 nm. The size and morphology of the powder make it suitable for high-resolution liquid chromatography. Other powder sizes are available (less than 150 µm). Denser spherical powder and donut-shaped powder can also be produced upon special request.
