SOM-R

By Ebatco

During the production of rolled steel, tin, or aluminum sheets, oils such as DOS, CSO, or ATBC are used as a coating medium to prevent sheets from rusting. Monitoring the amount of oil coated on the sheets is essential to ensure the production of high-quality metal sheets. Using test metal sheets from the production line, our Automatic Spread Oil Meter SOM-R determines the oil amount by transferring the oil coated on the rolled metal test sheets onto a water surface and detecting the change of the surface film pressure. Features - Utilization of the Wilhelmy plate method to precisely detect the surface film pressure and to determine the oil volume in the range of μg on a test metal sheet - Two independent temperature control systems to ensure reliable results and high repeatability even in difficult measuring environments - Indication of the oil volume in mg/m 2 on a LED display - Easy to clean Teflon-coated trough with excellent corrosion resistance - Easy to clean measuring probe (glass plate) - Periodical calibration of the balancing system can easily be done by the user

BP-D5

The BP-D5 is a fully automatic bubble pressure tensiometer for measurement of the dynamic surface tension of aqueous surfactant solutions in a time function or at a fixed surface age. For monitoring the bubble formation, the pressure voltage waveform is displayed in real-time and bubble formation is made visible by a synchronized built-in stroboscope. Temperature-dependent measurements can also be carried out with the built-in jacket type stage and thermometer. Features - “One-click” fully automated operation - Surface tension against surface age (from 20 to 5.000 ms) chart is computed and plotted automatically - Measurement of the dynamic surface tension at a specific surface age from 20 to 1.000 ms - Real-time display of the bubble pressure waveform to monitor the conditions of the bubble generation - Extrapolation of the averaged raw data according to a method suggested by Hua &Rosen - The bubble generation from the capillary is made visible by a synchronized built-in stroboscopic lamp - Built-in jacket-type stage and platinum resistance thermometer for measurements in the range of +10 to 70℃ - Ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning the glass probes

DMe-211 Plus

The DMe-211 Plus is an economical yet fully-featured contact angle meter with a computer image analysis system. The unit combines manual droplet volume regulation, stage up/down motion for gentle deposition of droplets with “FAMAS-basic” software controlled analysis of static and dynamic contact angle (30fps) as well as surface and interfacial tension using the pendant drop method. Analysis software to determine the surface free energy of solids is a standard feature. - Automatic recognition of droplet deposition - Live image display and droplet volume monitoring - Movie converter - Manual dispenser with a set of 5 glass syringes and 5 SUS needles for precise adjustment of droplet volume and quick refilling and replacement of liquid samples - Fine adjustable stage in z-axis for gentle deposition of droplets without distortion - Adjustable level of the body and stage - Droplet calibration standard for standard view, bearing one full circle for calibration and three droplet silhouettes of 5°, 60° and 108° for periodic inspection of measurement accuracy

TSf-503

The Triboster TSf-503 is designed for computer-controlled analysis of the static and kinetic coefficient of friction (COF). The highly versatile device, with its linear reciprocating sample stage, can be used for all kinds of samples with different shapes because fixtures can be specially designed according to the sample. The TSf-503 features the unique patented crank-shaped biaxial balance technology for accurate and reliable measurements. TSf-503 is available with a standard normal load range of 100 to 1.000 g and an optional range of 200 to 2.000 g. Measurements with different loads, speeds, contact probe geometries, measurement methods, and options allow customers to set up the instruments to meet their special needs. Features - Biaxial balance technology: Minimizing the effects of inertia and other external forces on the load cell during the measurements ensures exact and reliable results. - Two-way-measurements: Measurement of the coefficients of friction in both directions of stage travel. - Automatic contact probe lift-up function: Measurement of the coefficients of friction in only one direction of stage travel. The contact probe is lifted automatically after one stroke to avoid contact with the sample when the stage returns. - Seven measuring routines: Various measuring routines are available to ensure optimal flexibility in determining specific characteristics of the samples. Available measuring routines are: - Standard repetition: Measuring the coefficients of friction repeatedly on the same measuring area in up to 12 cycles - Continuous static friction: Measuring up to 50 data of coefficients of static friction in one stroke by the stop-and-go movement of the stage - Repetition dependency: Measuring the coefficients of friction repeatedly on the same measuring area in 100 to 10.000 cycles - Multi-sample: Measuring the coefficients of friction for different samples or different areas for one sample for easy comparison - Load-dependency: Measuring the coefficients of friction depending on different normal loads - Speed-dependency: Measuring the coefficients of friction depending on different speeds - Time-interval dependency: Analyzing the influence of adhesion on the coefficients of friction depending on up to four different contact times in one way by use of the counterpart lift-up function and the stop-and-go movement of the stage
