Easy Drum rotary collector with mounted collector for electrospinning

Wire drum collector designed to produce very thin, easy-to-peel nanofiber mats. MINIMAL CONTACT POINTS FOR EASY FIBER RELEASE The wire construction minimizes the contact points between fibers and drum. With few contact points you can easily peel your nanofiber mats, even at very low thickness where a solid drum would make the delicate fibers stick and tear. Made of high-resistance hollow aluminum, weight and moment of inertia are reduced to the minimum, allowing high rotation speeds without triggering dangerous vibrations — so you also get aligned fibers along the wire direction. SPECIFICATIONS - Outer wire diameter: 80 mm - Grip diameter: 10 mm - Wire length: 120 mm - Wire diameter: 3 mm - Number of wires: 12 COMPATIBILITY Compatible with our Easy Drum rotary system. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When should I use a wire drum instead of a solid drum? Choose the wire drum when your nanofiber mat is very thin and delicate: the reduced contact area lets you peel it off intact. A solid aluminum drum is better for thicker mats and continuous surfaces. Does the wire drum align the fibers? Yes — at high rotation speed the fibers align along the wires, and the gaps between wires enhance alignment compared with a full surface.

The two solutions were fed through plastic tubing from separate syringe pumps into a coaxial needle (Linari Engineering, Pisa, Italy) at controlled flow rates - the core-shell configuration that allows one material to be enclosed within another during spinning.

A Linari Engineering S.r.l. generator (Valpiana, Italy) supplied direct current with positive polarity on the needle - the standard configuration of our high voltage units, whose control unit is coded HVG-CONT-LCD.

Linari NanoTech designs and manufactures electrospinning machines and nanofiber equipment in Pisa, Italy. From benchtop starter kits to industrial systems that run up to eight materials at once — plus coaxial needles, collectors, and AI-assisted process tools — we help labs and companies produce nanofibers for biomedical, pharmaceutical, filtration, and energy applications, backed by 15+ years, 124 peer-reviewed papers and 400+ installations worldwide. Our electrospinning machines are designed and developed to ensure precision and noise-free in producing the highest quality of nanofiber materials. eSpin.ai reduce your setup time. Complete systems are configured to the application, so they are quoted individually rather than sold at a list price. Use the Get a Quote form on any machine page describing your material and target output, and we will send a configured quotation. Lead time for a built-to-order system is 6–10 weeks. We install on site and train your team on the machine and on the process itself, including how to tune voltage, flow rate and working distance for your material. Support afterwards comes from our R&D team in Pisa — the same people who built the machine — and in selected markets from local distribution partners. More than 400 installations across over 70 countries in 15+ years. Most customers buy directly from us in Pisa; in selected markets we work through local distribution partners who provide first-line support.
