Semiconductor Devices: Metal oxide fibers are suitable for applications in transistors, diodes, sensors, and optoelectronic devices. Reducing critical metal costs in sensors & electronics for consumer products, healthcare & renewable energy

Iridium is often used as an anode catalyst in electrolysis situations where highly corrosive and oxidative conditions are present, such as electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen gas. With hydrogen projected to contribute to lower reliance on fossil fuels, “green hydrogen” produced using renewable electricity sources is projected to need vast amounts of iridium. We have a low-iridium catalyst in commercial testing with a global supplier to the electrolyzer industry. Upon completion of validation, this low-iridium catalyst will be available to the hydrogen & fuel cell industrial sector. A one megawatt electrolyzer uses iridium costing $100,000
