The VS2.5-5 cartridge exceeds the EPA's desire for a low-cost virus sampler. The improved VS2.5-5 cartridge realizes a better recovery compared to the original Argonide sampler cartridge. The VS2.5-5 is supplied in cases containing cartridges that are individually induction-sealed and electron beam irradiated by a certified sterilization facility. - Reduced sample size as the filter is 50% the size of other virus sampler cartridges (Part# VS2.5-5 only)

Greater Dirt Holding Capacity NanoCeram® is a broad spectrum particle adsorber that provides a DHC that is a hundred times greater than conventional filters. - Fewer system replacement elements. - Lower maintenance and operational costs. - Less system downtime and increased production. High Flow Rate & Low Pressure Drop NanoCeram® provides efficiency, capacity, and flow rate with low pressure drop for particulate, chemical, and soluble contaminant adsorption. - Less energy consumed resulting in lower operating costs - Reduced wear and tear on system components - Freedom from pressure constraints in a treatment system Reduced Costs & Enhanced Operations Prefiltering fine and coarse particulate from water sources leads to dramatically improved performance and cost reductions. - Reduce capital intensive backflush systems & chemicals. - Increase RO, carbon, and ultra violet filter performance. - Reduce labor costs for cleaning operations. NanoCeram® filters utilize a highly electropositive filter media that rapidly adsorbs particles, no matter how small. As a result, each NanoCeram® electropositive water filter has a high capacity for particles as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers (submicron and colloidal). The nature of electropositive attraction is such that even with an average pore size of 2 – 3 microns the NanoCeram® Filter Cartridge exhibits an Absolute Rating of 0.2 microns – typically associated with ultraporous membranes. Yet NanoCeram® flow rates are hundreds of times greater than such membranes.

Argonide’s NanoCeram® technology protects systems and equipment and saves you money. NanoCeram's unique and patented electropositive material property allows it to excel at removing particulate matter at a low pressure drop through adhesion. Resulting in reduced energy consumption, increased component life, reduction in maintenance cycles, and downtime leading to improved operational readiness. NanoCeram has a wide range of applications as a prefilter or pretreatment for RO, boilers, industrial equipment, cooling towers, office coffee service equipment (OCS) or other commercial uses. Prevent premature biofouling, extend RO membrane life, reduce RO membrane replacement frequency, and reduce energy consumption without the use of chemicals or system pressure drop. Remove legionella bacteria and reduce cleaning frequencies of cooling towers, sump water systems, humidifiers, evaporative air coolers, and large central air-conditioning systems. Prevent early equipment scaling and fouling while reducing wash cycles and maintenance downtime. Protect plant boilers, cooling towers, and chillers without using treatment chemicals and foams. Reduce particulate matter, prevent clogging and extend the equipment life of water nozzles, sprinklers, micro jets, micro sprayers, mister nozzles, and drip emitters. INCREASED THROUGHPUT - DECREASES energy usage - REDUCES reject water SAVES ON COST - STOPS premature fouling of your RO membrane - INCREASES the effective lifetime of your RO membrane - REDUCES cleaning cycles - DECREASES wear & tear associated with cleaning products

What is DEAL®? DEAL® is a patented process product where by DE (diatomaceous earth) is coated with aluminum oxide-hydroxide (AlOOH). DEAL® is highly electropositive (up to +80 mV), while bare DE is highly electronegative (-70mV). The strong electropositive forces attract and retain colloidal particles that are intrinsically electronegative in water. How Does Standard DE Work? DEAL® is a functionalized/improved form of DE. DE has been used extensively to purify water in swimming pools, as well as industrial and municipal plants. A precoat filter bed of DE, generally 3 mm thick, is first formed and then additional DE is added to the body fluid. When the pressure drop exceeds specification, the DE bed, with contaminants, is internally back washed and discarded. DE has limited efficiency for removing bacteria, virus and colloids, and no capability for removing arsenic or lead. More About DEAL® DEAL® is currently available with an average particle size of 60 microns. When used in theprecoat process, this grade of DEAL® can remove 99.99999% of bacteria and virus, and reduce soluble lead from 150 ppb down to 7 ppb..
