Buckeye Composites’ “Buckypaper,” is a thin, paper-like membrane of carbon nanotubes, nanofiber, nanoplatelets and/or other carbon nanomaterial. Buckypaper can be comprised of 100% carbon nanomaterial or can be pre-impregnated or “pre-pregged” with resin. Thickness and areal weight can be tailored to end-user requirements. Buckypaper can be produced with any supplier’s carbon nanotubes or other carbon nanomaterial.

We use twin centrifugal blending, screw compounding, and solvent blending to manufacture highly conductive nanotube-filled-polymers for EMI shielding and other applications. Our lightweight nanoplastics retain the toughness and flexibility of the original polymer. We fabricate metal-free materials with bulk electrical resistance as low as 0.1 ohm-cm. Applications include electromagnetic interference protection, electrostatic discharge materials, electrostatic paint substrates, lightweight thermal management materials, and conductive gaskets.
