Order No. 05.7020.00 Extra strong 2.2 kW drive power and extremely high centrifugal acceleration up to 64 g and up to 800 rpm (rotational speed of the bowl 1,600 rpm) Useful capacity up to 2 x 225 ml Motor-driven ServoLOCK clamping of the grinding bowls Highest process reliability and precise reproducibility FRITSCH Planetary Ball Mills – high-performance all-rounder in routine laboratory work The Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line with 2 grinding stations is the ideal mill for fast wet and dry grinding of hard, medium-hard, soft, brittle and moist samples as well as for mechanical alloying, mixing and homogenising of larger sample quantities with reliable results down into the nano range – and an absolutely secure automatic clamping of the grinding bowls. Comminution according to the Planetary Principle The comminution takes place primarily through the high-energy impact of grinding balls and partially through friction between grinding balls and the grinding bowl wall. To achieve this, the grinding bowl, containing the material to be ground and grinding balls, rotates around its own axis on a main disk rotating in the opposite direction. At a certain speed, the centrifugal force causes the ground sample material and grinding balls to bounce off the inner wall of the grinding bowl, cross the bowl diagonally at an extremely high speed and impact the material to be ground on the opposite wall of the bowl. The grinding bowls reach twice the speed of the main disk during this process. Due to the extra strong 2.2 kW drive power and centrifugal acceleration up to 64 g and up to 800 rpm (rotational speed of the bowl 1,600 rpm) are high-performance grindings down into the nano range possible. Extra strong 2.2 kW drive power and extremely high centrifugal acceleration up to 64 g and up to 800 rpm (rotational speed of the bowl 1,600 rpm) Maximum operational safety due to ServoLOCK clamping of the grinding bowls Blocking of the mill in the event of impermissible operating states Automatic shutoff function if an imbalance occurs Reliable bowl detection via RFID chip and optimization of grinding speeds via RFID-Chip Safely guided insertion of grinding bowls Safe opening in the event of overpressure Intuitive touchscreen operation with colour display Simultaneous processing of up to 4 samples Useful capacity up to 2 x 225 ml Up to 8 programmes can be saved, software MillControl (optional), USB inter face for transmission of process parameters Extensive accessories for simplifying your daily work Grinding has never been safer Grinding has never been safer: With the completely brand new ServoLOCK clamping of the grinding bowls and the automatic check of the fastening of the bowls inside the mill, man and machine are optimally protected. In the event of impermissible operating states, the machine blocks the start of a grinding – and if an imbalance occurs it automatically shuts off. The revolutionary ServoLOCK is activated with a single hand motion by pressing down the clamp. The actual clamping is motor-driven by the mill. Your advantage: each grinding with always same conditions without screwing or other manual fastening. Automatic control and monitoring – Measurement of gas pressure and temperature The Software MillControl enables the automatic control and monitoring of the Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line. The actual rotational speed and power consumption are checked and documented. By using two EASY GTM-bowls with special lid and transmitter you transform your PULVERISETTE 5 premium line into an analytical measuring system for monitoring pressure and temperature during the grinding process. Configure your Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line exactly to your specific application The grinding bowls of the Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line are available in the sizes 125 ml, 150 ml, 250 ml, 420 ml and 500 ml. This gives you total flexibility for optimal adjustment to your specific sample volume. If you would like to grind four samples simultaneously, simply order four grinding bowls, each with 125 ml or 150 ml volume and 2 stacking rings. To achieve the best grinding results and for direct prevention of contamination of the samples due to undesired abrasion, all grinding bowls and balls are available in different materials. For grinding in inert gas and for mechanical activation and alloying premium line gassing lids are recommended – quickly and safely.

for controlling the grinding process and measurement of gas pressure and temperature The software MillControl enables the automatic control of the Planetary Micro Mill PULVERISETTE 7 and Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 5 premium line and validation of the grinding process. The actual rotational speed and power consumption are checked and documented. The software is a distinct safety feature, since overpressure and a rise in temperature are avoided and defects on the mill and a sticking of the sample material prevented. By using two EASY GTM-bowls with special lid and transmitter you transform your Planetary Mills premium line into an analytical measuring system for monitoring pressure and temperature during the grinding process. Definition of grindings MillControl enables you to define grinding processes with different parameters with the aid of the SOPs, for example: 2 x 2 minutes with 900 rpm with pauses of 6 minutes, then 3 x 1 minute at 1100 rpm with an 8 minute pause and as conclusion 2 x 3 minutes at 600 rpm. Sop s The SOPs may be saved and retrieved at any time, which makes a standardized execution of grindings for constantly recurring grinding tasks with exactly identical conditions possible. The analysis of the grindings, as well as the graphic display of the results, can be defined in a manner so even here standardized reports with the corresponding interesting parameters can be generated. The archive-function of MillControl allows you to access at any time previous grindings and for example compare these with recent grindings which is especially interesting for the pharmaceutical industry. Features - Automatic control of the mill and validation of grinding process - Monitoring and graphical display of the set and actual - Rotational speed and power consumption - Creation and saving of individual SOPs for various grinding - Processes with different parameters to ensure identical conditions for recurring grinding tasks - Generation of standardised reports with the most relevant parameters - Archive function for documenting of all grinding processes performed - Better reproducibility of the results and lesser error rate System requirements - Software MillControl Minimum Requirements: Windows 7, Core 2 Duo processor or better 4GB RAM screen resolution 1280x800 pixel memory requirement for program approx. 10MB (not including disk space for PDF reports, grinding logs, exports and SOPs)

AT A GLANCE - Dry and wet sieving - Automatic sieve evaluation with software AUTOSIEVE - Usable as testing equipment in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 - Three-dimensional sieving action Ideal for - SIEVING - MEASURING THE QUANTITATIVE - PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF - SOLIDS AND SUSPENSIONS - SEPARATING - FRACTIONING Effective sieving of large quantities The ANALYSETTE 18 is the robust, Heavy Duty Analytical Sieve Shaker from FRITSCH. It can effortlessly sieve up to 15 kg of material between 20 μm and 125 mm. The three-dimensional sieving motion ensures particularly fast sieving results without manual re-sieving, and also optimal reproducibility. The ANALYSETTE 18 is used for particle size analysis and portioning of coarse-grained materials. The maximum input quantity of 15 kg for the material to be sieved and the sieve stack also allows use in pilot line production or for serial analysis of large quantities. It is particularly suitable for particle size analysis and portioning of coarse-grained materials through dry sieving or wet sieving with conversion kit. WORKING PRINCIPLE The ANALYSETTE 18 is a Heavy Duty Analytical Sieve Shaker that was specially designed for processing of large sieving quantities. It intentionally avoids the disadvantages of lighter sieve shakers in which the sample and sieve weights can sometimes significantly affect the sieving results. Two unbalanced motors situated in phase opposition under exactly defined angles create optimal vibrations of the test sieves mounted to the sieve plate. After elapsing of the sieve time, both motors are precisely braked. With this construction the sieving material is not only accelerated vertically, but also horizontally. This three-dimensional sieving action ensures a permanent change of direction of the material. This results in a short sieving time and increased separation efficiency without manual re-sieving and optimal reproducibility.
