VT-iSIM
C15

The VT-iSIM (Instantaneous Structured Illumination Microscopy) is the world's first truly high-speed super-resolution live-cell imaging system. It is an advanced microscopy module designed to be integrated with commercial microscopes (Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss, Leica) to significantly enhance their performance.
- Function: It uses a patented multi-point scanning architecture (Ingwaz scanning architecture) combined with a spinning disk to generate super-resolution images rapidly.
- Nanotech Relevance: It achieves a high spatial resolution of $100\text{ nm}$ laterally and $300\text{ nm}$ axially, which is well below the diffraction limit and essential for observing nanoscale structures and dynamic events within live biological cells (live-cell imaging).
- Key Features: It offers high temporal resolution (up to $200\text{ fps}$), exceptional depth penetration ($>10\text{x}$ deeper than traditional SIM), high signal-to-noise ratio, and low phototoxicity, making it ideal for studying dynamic biological processes at the nanoscale.
