ZTA 25

High resistance to thermal shock | Resistance to wear and abrasion | Recommended for the biomedical industry and for wear parts ZTA (Zirconia Toughened Alumina) is an alumina and zirconia composite material mix: this helps to get the properties from both material in a single ceramic powder. The ZTA then inherits of high temperature and wear resistance from the alumina but also the impact resistance from zirconia. The different alumina-zirconia ratios offered by Nanoe enables the client to pick a product best suited to his needs. Thanks to our unique know-how on powder synthesis, the parts made with our ZTA have a very fine microstructure with a high homogeneity, resulting in higher mechanical properties. ZTA25 is a 75% Alumina and 25% Yttriated zirconia mix. This composition, the result of extensive research carried out by our R&D department, ensures an optimal level of hardness, electrical resistivity and hydrothermal ageing resistance. Like for the ZTA25 powder, our ZTA12 powder has a high wear resistance, we can also offer chrome-doped ZTA12 to have an even better wear resistance. ZTA25 makes it possible to make wear parts such as extrusion dies or pump bodies with a longer working life than with a product made solely of alumina. In addition, ZTA25 is particularly recommended for the medical sector.Indeed, its alumina structure ensures a maximum lifetime for the prostheses, thus increasing the comfort and safety of the patient, while its zirconia reinforcement protects it from potential shocks. Biomedical Medical prostheses must be perfectly biocompatible and resistant to shocks in case of fall: ZTA25 meets these constraints… Fluid management The pumps are tested by highly abrasive liquids and repeated sterilizations. ZTA25 is ideal for this application… In order to best meet your needs, Nanoe delivers ZTA12 in the form that best fits your process. We are thus able to supply our materials in the form of ready-to-press granules, redispersible powders or feedstocks for ceramic injection. Nanoe is able to adapt the ZTA to your request so that it meets your specific constraints, for example by adapting the alumina/zirconia ratio or by adding dopants.

Colored Zirconia and ATZ

Very high impact resistance | Wear and scratch resistance Wide choice of shades | Mirror like polished finishes Colored zirconia and ATZ Colored zirconias and ATZ (Alumina Toughened Zirconia) are obtained by adding specific pigments which allow colored ceramic parts to be obtained after sintering while retaining good mechanical properties. Colored zirconia and AZT proposed by Nanoe Zirconia and ATZ (Alumina Toughened Zirconia) are obtained by adding specific pigments to obtain, after sintering, colored ceramic parts while maintaining good mechanical properties. Nanoe offers a variety of 7 standard shades that can be varied indefinitely, from light to dark. The shades available are pure white, black, green, grey, blue, brown and finally burgundy. This unique color variety for the ceramic industry is the result of extensive research conducted by our R&D department. Our colored zirconia and ATZ are characterized by high wear and impact resistance. In addition, they make it easy to obtain pieces with beautiful matte, brushed, polished or mirror like finish. Unalterable, zirconia is the perfect material for watchmaking and jewellery. In fact, unlike metals such as gold, ceramics do not scratch and keep a smooth and new appearance throughout its usage. In addition, the variety of colors available is incomparable with those offered by traditional metals, leaving stylists and designers unparalleled freedom of design. More broadly, colored zirconia is also a suitable material for appearance parts, whether for leather goods, cars or perfumery. A product adapted to your process Nanoe is capable of producing on demand products for you with colors that don’t exist on the market In order to best meet your needs, Nanoe delivers its colored zirconia in the form that best fits your process. We are thus able to supply our materials in the form of ready-to-press granules, redispersible powders or feedstocks for ceramic injection.

Upryze ATZ

Very high fracture toughness | Choc resistant | High bending strength Upryze, a high fracture toughness ceramic Upryze is a composite of co doped zirconia, alumina and different reinforcement elements. It was initally developped and patented by Saint Gobain, and Nanoe acquired an exclusive licence in 2024. This material is a high tenacity ceramic, with a fracture toughness of 14MPa.m1/2, when a standard zirconia usually has a fracture toughness of 6MPa.m1/2. This allows Upryze to withstand much higher level of chocs that any other technical ceramic. Upryze ATZ Upryze is a composite of 85% Ceria and Yttria co doped zirconia, 15% Alumina and a few specific dopants. This composition, issued from Saint Gobain research center, allow this exceptional fracture thoughness, while retaining a good hardness and flexural strength. As any ATZ and ZTA, it is also very wear resistant. Download the datasheet Download the MSDS Applications Upryze ATZ is used for choc resistant parts. It is used in several industries such as wear parts, medical, welding… Wear parts and tools In welding, Upryze is used for choc resistant centering pins. Medical In medtechs, ATZ is used for high tenacity components A product adapted for your process In order to better respond to your needs, Nanoe delivers it’s zirconia under the shape best fitted for your process. We are able to provide our products as granules ready to press, redispersible powder or even as a feedstock for ceramic injection. Nanoe is also capable of adjusting the material to best fit your demands and constraints; e.g. adding a special doping agent in its composition. Need advice to choose your material? Polycrystalline rubies (Chrome alumina)

Very high wear resistance | Very high friction resistance Polycrystalline ruby, also known as Chrome alumina, is a ceramic that benefits from the strength of alumina while displaying a deep red color, similar to that of natural ruby. Thanks to our know-how and our unique process, Nanoe offers a chrome alumina in the form of a very fine powder, making it possible to obtain translucent, wear-resistant polycrystalline rubies with a low friction coefficient. Applications Polycrystalline rubies are mainly used in the watchmaking industry for the manufacturing of bearings supporting the metal spindles of mechanical watches. However, like traditional alumina, chrome alumina is valued in metrology and biomedical. The Chrome improves the mechanical properties of alumina all the whilst giving it a red color. Watchmaking and jewellery: Its strength, wear resistance and low friction coefficient makes it the ideal candidate to improve the precision of watchmaking parts as well as their service life. Metrology: In metrology, chrome alumina is highly valued both for its mechanical properties and for its red colour, making it easier to identify during maintenance operations. A product curated for your needs In order to better respond to your needs, Nanoe delivers it's Chrome alumina under the shape best fitted for your process. We are able to provide our products as granules ready to press, redispersible powder or even as a feedstock for ceramic injection. Nanoe is also capable of adjusting the chrome content to best fit your demands and constraints.
