The VIR series FT-IR spectrometers are designed with flexibility in mind, providing various configurations for the laboratory, the field and customized applications.
For even greater flexibility, external connection optics allows the user to install up to three different attachments in one system, selecting the most appropriate application accessory by simply switching the PC controlled optical configuration. A further extension of application capabilities can be achieved by integrating the universal optical base to configure a freely customized configuration by simply placing optimized optical components and sample holders onto the base. Thus even a large sample or an attachment which cannot fit in a standard sample compartment can now be utilized without compromise.

JASCO has its roots in the Institute of Optics – Tokyo University of Education which developed Japan’s first infrared spectrophotometer, Model DS-101, in 1954. Since the establishment of the company in 1958, we have inherited the spirit of our predecessors in infrared spectrophotometry and have completed the FT/IR-4X as the culmination of our work. The size is only 386 (W) × 479 (D) mm, and we have also achieved a 30 % reduction in power consumption compared to conventional models.
It is research-grade in performance, functionality and expandability, and supports high resolution, high S/N, high sensitivity detectors, extending measurement wavenumber, microscopy with linear array detector, and rapid scan. The sample compartment is 200 mm wide, the same width as that of a large model, and can accommodate conventional accessories, including those from third parties.

AFSEM nano is an atomic force microscope (AFM), designed for integration in a SEM or Dualbeam (SEM/FIB) microscope. Its open access design allows you to simultaneously operate SEM and AFM inside the SEM vacuum chamber. The correlated image data of AFM and SEM enable unique characterization of your sample, and the combination of complementary techniques is a key success factor for gaining new insights into the micro and nano worlds. AFSEM nano enables you to easily combine two of the most powerful analysis techniques to greatly extend your correlative microscopy and analysis possibilities.
AFSEM nano lets you simultaneously image your sample with high resolution, create true 3D-topography representations, and accurately measure heights, distances and even material properties, all while maintaining the large SEM field of view to position your AFSEM nano cantilever exactly where you want it. The powerful AFSEM nano control software allows for optimized and intuitive measuring, system handling, and data analysis.
For product or material analysis, it is often desirable to analyze a sample with multiple techniques and look for correlations between parameters. For imaging techniques like SEM and AFM this means one should make sure to analyze the exact same area. What easier way for correlative SEM-AFM analysis than performing the AFM measurement directly inside the SEM?
