JEM-1400 TEM is optimized for high-contrast imaging of biological, soft material (polymers), and nanoparticle samples. The microscope is equipped with a high-tilt goniometer for performing tomography, a side-mounted camera for high-resolution wide-field imaging, and a bottom mounted camera for high-resolution high-magnification imaging (2K x 2K). Additional techniques that can be utilized with this instrument are Cryo-TEM and Glow Discharge for sample grids.
