Research activities includes state-of-the-art mechanical and materials characterization, 3D- and 4D-printing assisted advanced manufacturing, computational simulation, numerical analysis, and theoretical modeling. Finite element simulation using commercially available software such as Abaqus will be conducted to elucidate the underlying mechanism for observed enhanced adhesion from bioinspired structures.
