Electrospinning Technology

By NanoSpin

Electrospinning is an advanced manufacturing process that uses a high-voltage electric field to produce continuous fibers with diameters ranging from tens of nanometers to several micrometers. During the process, a polymer solution or melt is electrically charged and ejected from a spinneret, forming a fine jet that stretches under electrostatic forces while the solvent evaporates. The resulting solid nanofibers are collected on a stationary or rotating collector, creating highly porous structures with exceptional uniformity. The morphology and performance of electrospun nanofibers can be precisely controlled by adjusting process parameters such as solution properties, flow rate, applied voltage, spinning distance, temperature, humidity, and collector speed. This high level of control enables the fabrication of nanofibers tailored for a wide variety of scientific and industrial applications.
