New Film Solutions in Weeks, Not Years The Peak Technology Center is where all NanoPlex™ intellectual property is developed, prototyped, and validated. We turn nanolayer film concepts into production-ready films on timelines that traditional polymer development can’t match. Technology Center Capabilities Three Integrated Disciplines We operate across three core areas to compress development timelines and eliminate the handoffs that slow traditional film programs. 1 Polymer Analysis & Development Tools AI-enabled formulation tools built on decades of nanolayered materials research and science. Spectroscopy and analysis characterize film composition, molecular structure, and material properties at the nanoscale. Formulation decisions are data-driven from the start. 2 Formulation, Prototyping & Manufacturing Five dedicated extrusion lines produce nanolayered films with up to 4,000+ layers in thicknesses from 2.5 to 400 microns, at temperatures up to 325°C. Lines are configured for rapid iteration, with fast transitions between formulations, layer counts, and material combinations. 3 Capacitor Reference Design In-house capacitor prototyping and testing take NanoPlex film directly from production to prototype hardware. We build reference designs, run lifetime testing under real operating conditions, and deliver the engineering guidance your team needs to adapt NanoPlex capacitor film into high-temperature and high-energy-density capacitor devices. Rapid Film Spectrum Prototyping When we identify a promising polymer combination, we don't run one test and wait. We produce a full spectrum of prototype films across every ratio, from 80/20 to 20/80. You receive a complete set of test samples in weeks, allowing you to pinpoint the exact layer composition that delivers the properties your application requires. This is how we compress years of polymer R&D into weeks of targeted iteration. From First Article to Production Quantities Our expertise in biaxial orientation is purpose-built for rapid nanolayer film development. In combination with our vertically integrated co-extrusion film capabilities, we can manage biaxial development projects from early-stage R&D and material screening through prototype runs to production quantities of 100 lbs+, all on a single, reconfigurable platform. 325°C Max Extrusion Temperature High-temperature polymer processing for advanced systems 2.5–400 μm Film Thickness Range Flexible targeting across ultra-thin to standard gauges 4,000+ Nanolayers Per Film Precisely engineered, application-specific 4 Multi-Material Extruders Designed for diverse polymer combinations Film Extruders ¾" Extruders R&D Line Rate:1–8 lb/hr Layers:1–4,097 Materials:3 Skin Layer:Yes Thickness:6–400 μm Film Width:3–20 in Max Temp:325°C 1"–1¼" Extruders Pilot Line Rate:5–80 lb/hr Layers:1–4,097 Materials:7 Skin Layer:Yes Thickness:6–400 μm Film Width:20–32 in Max Temp:325°C 1¾"–2" Extruders Production Lines Rate:30–150 lb/hr Layers:1–4,097 Materials:3 Skin Layer:Yes Thickness:6–400 μm Film Width:18-36 in Max Temp:325°C Purpose-Built Facilities 75,000 Sq.
