For Superb Functionality Leitz uses advanced high-vacuum coating systems for ion-assisted vapor deposition coating. A customized coating design is composed of anti-reflection, laser protection and mirror coatings from UV to IR. The thickness of individual coats may vary from a few nanometers to several micrometers with up to more than 100 layers per surface.
