The CRoss-InstitutE Advanced Tissue Engineering (CREATE) Lab is an established core facility dedicated to biofabrication of advanced 3D tissues and microfluidic devices. It houses state-of-the-art equipment for 3D bio-printing, microfabrication, and device analysis. Cellink BioX6 Modular next generation multi-material Cellink BioX6 3D bioprinter comprise mechanical, pneumatic and droplet extrusion in one construct. The system includes temperature controlled printheads and platform within a sterile environment and four UV modules for photo-crosslinking. Combination of extrusion, co-axial, inkjet and thermoplastic printheads can be configured to each users individual needs. BioX6 is controlled by DNA Studio 4 software for user-friendly printing and compatibility with imported 3D designs. RegenHU 3D Discovery The 3D Discovery Biosafety system is an advanced 3D printer enclosed within a class II biosafety cabinet. The system is configured with 4 print heads, including syringe-based extrusion and micro-valve droplet dispensing. The system also provides temperature control for print heads and the printing platform, as well as a UV tool for photo-crosslinking and curing. Printer operation and construct design is controlled through the external computer and CAD/CAM software. Cellink LUMEN X™ Digital Light Projection (DLP) printer LUMEN X™ Gen 3 is optimized to build solid hydrogel structures from light-sensitive, liquid hydrogels in a vat. The system is suitable for live cell printing and tuning the stiffness of your material to create biomechanical gradients on demand utilising grayscale printing. The built environment is temperature controlled and can be contained within a biosafety cabinet.
