Combination of CE and UPLC-MS

By ATDBio

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) and UPLC-MS provide a powerful orthogonal analytical approach for oligonucleotide characterisation. While UPLC-MS separates molecules based on chromatographic interactions and provides highly accurate mass confirmation, CE separates oligonucleotides according to their electrophoretic mobility and charge-to-size ratio. Because the two techniques rely on fundamentally different separation mechanisms, they often reveal complementary information that may not be apparent using a single analytical method alone. Together, CE and UPLC-MS provide greater confidence in oligonucleotide identity, purity and product quality, making them particularly valuable for the analysis of challenging sequences and complex modifications. UPLC-MS - Mass confirmation, impurity profiling and purity assessment. + Capillary Electrophoresis - High-resolution separation based on electrophoretic mobility. = Greater Confidence - Enhanced characterisation of oligonucleotide identity, purity and quality.
