Lake Shore Cryotronics Inc. has introduced the EMPX-H2 probe station, which adds a 0.6 T horizontal field electromagnet to standard probe station capabilities. The station supports standard C-V, I-V, microwave, and electro-optical probing, plus in-plane horizontal field electromagnetic measurements.
The EMPX-H2 probes are configured at 30 angles for probing wafers up to 25 mm (1 in) in diameter. This configuration is intended to maximize magnetic field at the sample. A 360 sample stage rotation option allows measurement of angular-dependent and anisotropic magneto-transport properties.
The EMPX-H2 operates over a temperature range of 4.5 K to 420 K, with options to extend the base temperature to 3.2 K. The continuous refrigeration system can be operated with liquid helium or liquid nitrogen for cooling.
Lake Shore describes the EMPX-H2 as its premier probe station for vector-dependent magneto-transport measurements. Researchers can use it for testing magneto-transport parameters.
For a limited time, an M81-SSM and SMU-10 modules are offered at no extra cost with eligible probe station configurations.
