We accept a wide range of sample types. Most commonly, we receive a variety of filter media and rinses, but we understand that sampling methods can vary depending on site-specific conditions—for example, hot stack environments may require alternative sampling collection approaches. We encourage clients to reach out with the samples they have on hand. We’ll evaluate their suitability for particle sizing or compositional analysis. If the samples are not a good candidate, we might be able to propose an alternative analysis. In many cases, the samples we receive were originally collected for other analyses. Our work often adds supplemental value to existing sampling efforts. Rather than requiring resampling, we aim to maximize the information that can be gained from what’s already been collected. While certain materials—such as Teflon or Teflon-backed filters—can pose analytical challenges, useful data may still be obtainable. We’re happy to assess and discuss available options.
