The ASIC group at INESC MN specializes in cutting-edge architectures, circuits, and algorithms for sensor interfacing. Focused on achieving high TRL prototypes for diverse applications such as biomedical, food safety, and industrial quality assessment, the group's current efforts include power metering, non-destructive testing, medical devices for bacteria and cancer detection, and neuromorphic biocompatible electronics systems. The Advanced Sensor Interfaces and Circuits (ASIC) group, is focused on developing state-of-the-art architectures, circuits, and signal processing algorithms for interfacing a variety of sensors produced at INESC MN. The group targets the achievement of prototypes with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRL 5-6) for a variety of applications from Biomedical, food safety, and industrial quality assessment. Presently most of the work is towards the development of power metering solutions, non-destructive testing, medical devices for bacteria and cancer detection, and neuromorphic biocompatible electronics systems.
