GVD offers onsite application development services at our Cambridge, MA location. Customers can ship their parts directly to our facility, to be processed by GVD’s team of skilled technicians and engineers. We work with products throughout multiple stages of development – from small quantities of R&D prototypes, to larger volumes for statistical analysis. We typically follow a standardized process when it comes to working with new customers: Stage 1: Assessment and Quotation - Get an NDA in place to freely exchange information - Customer provides drawings, and an overview of their application and prior coating challenges - GVD assesses fit and provides an initial quote for small quantity of representative samples Stage 2: Coating Services - Customer ships samples to GVD for coating - Customer tests coated product against internally specified criteria Stage 3: Feedback and Iteration - Customer provides feedback to GVD from the internal testing - GVD proposed changes and improvements for future trials - Process is iterated until an optimal material system is developed and validated Stage 4: Scaling to Production - If applicable, volume pricing may be implemented - Commercial volume demonstration can be performed at GVD, then brought in-house via technology licensing
