Antibody purification consists of isolating the immunoglobulin from the serum (pAbs) or the hybridoma culture supernatant (mAbs) until the required purity is reached. The chosen method depends on the intended use. Available techniques include: - Ammonium sulfate precipitation (crude protein concentration) - Protein A or Protein G affinity chromatography (general IgG purification) - Antigen-specific affinity chromatography (to capture antibodies against a specific antigen)
