This group conducts extensive research on new surfactants and ionic liquids derived from renewable natural sources such as amino acids and natural oils. The aim is to develop biocompatible compounds with low toxicity and high biodegradability. Surfactants and ionic liquids with these properties would meet the requirements of the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
