The combination of different microscopy methods to visualize the exact same structure or event is referred to as "correlative microscopy". It can be applied to collect information from different resolution levels and combine them to achieve a holistic understanding of the specimen, or as a guidance to relocate rare events for high-resolution imaging techniques.
