Nanomate has launched two bactericidal nanomaterials, Silixguard and Silvergraph, according to Juan José López, Investigador I+D at the company. He said, "En Nanomate, hemos alcanzado nuevas fronteras con dos productos extraordinarios: Silixguard y Silvergraph."
The two products combine reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and silver nanoparticles (Ag). According to the company, the versatility and unique properties of rGO are complemented by the catalytic power of Ag and its efficacy against pathogenic microorganisms.
Silvergraph is described as suitable for sectors including advanced electronics, clean energy, green catalysis, medicine and food. The company states it does not stain the matrix black but reinforces its internal structure without affecting its properties.
Silixguard is described as easy to apply in sectors including the food industry, sustainable construction and high temperature electronics. Nanomate states that both materials address industrial needs for biocidal and bactericidal activity.
The company states the nanomaterials are intended for industries including textiles, construction, medicine and agriculture. Nanomate says it remains at the forefront in the field of bactericides.
